This is a painting I finished last year. Having never really painted foliage before, as I usually apply abstract or plain backgrounds to my subjects, this was a real challenge for me, but one I felt was overdue. I spent a lot of time on this to get the wood and leaves looking how I felt they should, but I am very pleased with the outcome. This painting is oil on canvas and is available to buy.
