Debra the rocking zebra was a project I started for my children. I bought this rocking horse from a second hand furniture shop looking very sad. It had a zebra print furry piece of material stapled to one side with about a millon staples (not very child friendly!) and needed sanding down and painting up. I have enjoyed it so much I am now thinking of making these and selling them at markets or from my site! I’m now planning a rocking tiger which I’ll have to make from scratch.
This was how Debra looked when I rescued her…..
I know I have been away from the blog for a few weeks. Frustratingly I had to send away my computer to be fixed and have also been distracted by various bugs and viruses plaguing the household, a present brought back from my toddlers’ childcare centre no doubt! That along with lack of sleep and tantrums from the terrible 2 year old (terrible twos is an extremely accurate description) have been keeping me very busy. However despite being away from the net I have been working on a new painting (at last!) and also turning some of my fish drawings into digital designs on photoshop. I am planning to open a sister shop to Kate Fox Art in Zazzle eventually called Foxy Fish to make these fish available on cards, t-shirts, keyrings and many more items. At the moment a few the fish designs can be found in my current shop.
Here is one of my new fishes, this one is Batfish.
My new order form is now ready to go, check it out! However I have not yet added all the image names, although they are all available for purchase. For over seas orders rolled canvases are available to save shipping costs from being too high. Anyway, I’m back online so watch this space for more fishes and fab photo art.
I have been working hard on my garden, being a mum has turned me into a proper gardener! I took some photographs of the succulents I have been growing and played around with them on photoshop with some interesting results
Mugs are available at my store. For custommised designs email me at email@example.com
Check out my t-shirts, mousepads, ties, hats, phone covers and more at Zazzle.
I have been using my photographs to design my own Gelaskins. This is one I have designed using my Lion Bite image
For my own phone I used 3 of my favourite images and arranged them for my own personalised phone gelaskins.
If anyone is interested in purchasing Gelaskins with my designs, contact me and let me know which image you want. Most phone model and makes are available and skins for you laptops can also be purchased.
Hi everyone, I have been hard at work setting up a zazzle store, where you can buy my images on phone cases, t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, bags, aprons, keychains, magnets and much more. Keep an eye out for new products as I am constantly adding more. If you see an image you want but can’t see it on the product you want to buy just drop me an email firstname.lastname@example.org or leave a comment on the photo. I can also be reached at www.facebook.com/KateFoxArt

Well it’s been a hectic few years for me. Moving to the other side of the world from England to Australia (Australia is much better, sorry fellow English people but it is true!), getting married and having my 2 beautiful children. After 2 years of nappies, sleepless nights, boobies, nappies, oh yeah and a few more nappies, I have finally decided it’s time to make a bit of time for doing something just for me.
As many of you will appreciate being mummy is by far the best thing I have ever done, but it does kind of make you make you feel like you loose a bit of your own identity sometimes. While I love spending time with my gorgeous babies more than anything else in the world I started to fear that I was starting to stagnate. So I decided to take the bull by the horns and get myself organised, practicing strict sleeping times for my 2 year and 4 month old was going to be the only way to get some me time.
So here I am, and I’m getting the last few years of my photography and art off of the hard drive and out into the universe. I organised my lovely husband Matt to help with my website and Facebook page and threw my self into the world of blogging. Since then my passion for art has come back with a vengeance and I’m learning to use the world wide web to promote my art and market my work and products. At times things may slow down for a bit but bear with me, I have 2 small children!
I’m feeling very positive about my first week of me-ness. I have already got myself a little exhibition at the end of the year at Northcote Town Hall in the Glass Gallery from Dec 1st to Jan 30th. It may be a small space but it’s a big step for Kate Fox Art! Check out the link, more to come about that later…
I’m back on the scene and I’m here to stay! Hello world 🙂
